Privacy Policy
What We Collect
We collect the information you provide directly: your email address, the dispute details you type into the tool, and the HOA notice you choose to upload. We also collect basic technical data such as IP address, browser type, and page-view events to operate and secure the service.
How We Use Your Data
Your dispute details and the text read from your uploaded notice are sent to an AI processing provider to prepare your paid analysis and response draft. If you ask us to email your report, the delivery address and report files are sent to a transactional email provider solely to deliver that message; this does not add you to a mailing list.
Service Providers
Stripe processes payments; card details are entered on Stripe's checkout page, not in this tool, and we send Stripe only minimal order information, not your dispute details. Kit (ConvertKit) sends the free checklist and occasional tips to people who sign up for it. Our hosting provider serves the website and runs the service. An AI processing provider prepares paid analyses, and a transactional email provider delivers reports you request by email.
Google Ads, Cookies and Remarketing
We use Google Ads conversion tracking to measure when a visit leads to a checklist signup or a purchase, and Google Ads remarketing cookies may be used to show DisputeShield ads to people who visited the site. Conversion events contain no dispute details. You can accept or reject these cookies using the cookie banner, and change your choice at any time with the Cookie settings link in the footer. Visitors in the EEA, UK and Switzerland are opted out until they accept.
Storage and Retention
We do not keep uploaded documents on our servers. Your notice is read in your browser, and its text is sent for processing only to prepare your analysis. While you complete checkout, your pending details are kept in your browser session and removed when you return. Your finished report stays on your screen until you leave the page. Service providers keep records such as payment and email delivery logs under their own retention policies. Checklist subscribers stay on the list until they unsubscribe or ask us to delete their information.
Your California Privacy Rights
If you are a California resident, you have the right to know what personal information we collect and how we use it, to delete it, to correct it, and to opt out of the sale or sharing of personal information. We do not sell personal information. We disclose that Google Ads remarketing involves cross-context behavioral advertising, which may be treated as sharing under California law; you can opt out by selecting Reject in the cookie banner. We will not discriminate against you for exercising these rights.
